The McKay, a three-story Art Deco apartment building erected in Indianapolis in 1924, exemplifies the streamlined elegance of the era through its distinctive trapezoidal footprint and warm brown cinder brick and concrete construction. Elevated on a raised basement and fronted by a single-story entrance foyer, the structure is distinguished by ornamental Art Deco bas-relief carvings that enhance its façade. Recognized for its architectural significance, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
