The Thomas, Jr., and Mary Kraitchar House, built in 1891 at 203 E. Buck St. in Caldwell, Texas, is a one-and-a-half-story wood-frame structure constructed principally of cypress. Located just east of the courthouse square in downtown Caldwell, this Victorian-era dwelling exemplifies a refined adaptation of Late Victorian styles to Texas vernacular architecture, distinguished by its symmetrical arrangement and restrained classical detailing. The property, which includes three contributing buildings, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 and was restored in 1982 to serve as a house museum.
