Hewn directly into the cliff at a considerable height above ground level, this rock-cut sepulcher belonged to Darius the Great, whose empire once spanned three continents. The tomb stands as a testament to the architectural ambitions of the Achaemenid dynasty and remains designated as part of Iran's national heritage.
