Trinity Episcopal Church in Litchfield, Minnesota, is a Carpenter Gothic structure completed in 1871 and attributed to the renowned New York architect Richard Upjohn. The church was recognized as a superlative example of mid-19th-century Carpenter Gothic design when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 for its local architectural significance. The style, characterized by ornamental wooden detailing that mimics Gothic stone tracery, was a distinctive American interpretation of Gothic Revival aesthetics suited to wooden construction.
