Trosky Castle is a Gothic ruin in the municipality of Troskovice in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic, built around 1400 and designated a national cultural monument. Dramatically situated on the summits of two basalt volcanic plugs approximately 10 kilometres south of Semily, the castle comprises two distinct structures: the two-storey Baba (Crone) on the lower peak at 47 metres, and the four-sided Panna (Maiden) on the higher outcrop at 57 metres. Its name translates literally as "ruins" or "debris," and it serves as a landmark of the Bohemian Paradise region.
