Újpest town hall, located in Budapest's District IV, is an eclectic and Art Nouveau structure completed in 1900 by architects Henrik Böhm and Ármin Hegedűs. Built when Újpest was still an independent town before its incorporation into Budapest, the building exemplifies the architectural tastes of the turn-of-the-century period, blending eclectic ornamentation with emerging Art Nouveau elements characteristic of early twentieth-century Hungarian civic design.
