A Constructivist educational building erected in Yekaterinburg in 1929, the Уральский областной промышленно-экономический техникум (Ural Regional Industrial-Economic Technical School) exemplified the Soviet avant-garde's commitment to functional modernism in institutional architecture. Designed during the height of Constructivism's influence in the USSR, the structure embodied the movement's characteristic emphasis on geometric forms and industrial aesthetics. The building served as a technical institution for the Urals region until its demolition in 2021, representing a significant loss to the city's architectural heritage of early Soviet modernism.
