The Varnum School is a historic former school building in Lowell, Massachusetts, designed by Merrill and Cutler and completed in 1857. Built as the first school in the city's Centralville section following its annexation in 1851, the Greek Revival structure underwent successive expansions that reflected evolving architectural tastes: a minor addition in 1886 was followed by a more substantial Classical Revival wing in 1896. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. Vacant since the 2000s, it is now privately owned and slated for conversion to residential units.
