Walnut Grove is a Greek Revival house built in 1840 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, on land acquired by Jonathan Johnson eleven years earlier. The residence was constructed by William A. Jennings, a master builder of the period whose name appears marked on the house's exposed oak beams. Recognized for his expertise in Greek Revival design, Jennings created a structure that exemplifies the architectural style of antebellum Virginia. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in August 2004 and holds status as a Virginia Historic Landmark.
