The Walnut Street Historic District in Chaska, Minnesota, is a mixed-use historic area bounded by Walnut, Second, Chestnut, and Sixth Streets, encompassing structures that document the town's commercial, industrial, religious, and residential growth from the mid-nineteenth century onward. Built around 1860, the district contains Greek Revival and other Neoclassical houses alongside the physical traces of earlier human occupation—burial mounds that speak to the area's prehistoric heritage. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the district preserves the architectural and cultural layers of Chaska's development.
