Washington School stands in Grand Forks, North Dakota, a Neoclassical structure completed in 1907 by contractors Melby & Standahl from designs by architect William J. Edwards. Built in Classical Revival style, the building employs rusticated limestone for its basement-level walls—the sole true stone in its construction—while the ornamental detailing of the upper stories employs cast stone. The one-acre property, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, contains only this single contributing structure.
