The Watchman Lookout Station No. 168, a fire lookout tower in Crater Lake National Park in southern Oregon, was built in 1932 by Merel S. Sager of the National Park Service in the rustic style characteristic of that agency. For decades, park personnel staffed the tower during summer months to watch for wildfires across the surrounding landscape. The station is notable for its dual function as both a functioning lookout and museum, and has become a popular hiking destination drawing visitors seeking panoramic views of Crater Lake and its volcanic terrain. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it remains one of only two fire lookout towers within the park.
