Designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and completed in 1835, the Wendish church in Spremberg, Brandenburg exemplifies early 19th-century German Classicism. Built to serve the Wendish (Sorbian) community, the church reflects Schinkel's characteristic restrained neoclassical vocabulary. The building has since been secularized and now stands as an architectural heritage monument, preserving an important record of both Schinkel's prolific output across Brandenburg and the region's once-significant Wendish population.
