West Pullman Elementary School, located at 11941 S. Parnell Avenue in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood, was built in 1894 to serve the area's growing population. Designed by school board architect W. August Fiedler, the Romanesque Revival structure features a distinctive red brick exterior with rounded arched windows and ornamental brickwork. A 1900 addition by William Bryce Mundie expanded the school's capacity while introducing Classical Revival elements, including terra cotta decorations and a bracketed cornice. A third addition in 1923, designed by John C. Christensen, maintained consistency with the earlier sections. The school operated until its closure in 2013 during a wave of Chicago public school consolidations. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.
