The Westerkerk is a baroque Reformed church in central Amsterdam, designed by architect Hendrick de Keyser and completed in 1631. Located in the westernmost section of the Grachtengordel neighborhood between the Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht canals, the church rises 85 meters and is designated a Rijksmonument. As a house of worship within Dutch Protestant Calvinism, it represents the architectural ambitions of Amsterdam's Golden Age religious life.
