The Zuiderkerk, a baroque brick church in Amsterdam's Nieuwmarkt district, was designed by Hendrick de Keyser and completed in 1603. Rising 69 meters, it stands as a Reformed Protestant place of worship from the Dutch Golden Age and holds the status of a Rijksmonument. The building featured prominently in the life of Rembrandt and was famously depicted by Claude Monet. Today it functions as a municipal information center hosting exhibitions on housing and environmental themes, remaining open to the public.
