The Western Auto Building, a Chicago School commercial structure erected in 1914 on Grand Boulevard in Kansas City's Crossroads neighborhood, was originally constructed as the Coca-Cola Building for owner Asa Griggs Candler. The structure gained its better-known name after becoming the headquarters of Western Auto Supply Company, which installed a prominent multi-story lighted sign atop the building. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, the building was later redeveloped in the early twenty-first century as part of Western Auto Lofts, a condominium association that incorporated three adjacent buildings.
