The Rockefeller Building is a 17-story Chicago School skyscraper completed between 1903 and 1905 in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, standing 212 feet tall at the corner of West 6th and Superior Avenue. Named after Standard Oil of Ohio founder John D. Rockefeller, whose companies helped transform Cleveland into an industrial center, the massively wide structure serves as a gateway to the city's Warehouse District. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, the building stands as one of the most recognizable monuments to Rockefeller's enduring influence on the city, reflecting his later-life legacy of support for Cleveland's development.
