White Hall is a Renaissance Revival mansion set within a 14-acre state historic site in Richmond, Kentucky, southeast of Lexington. Built in 1868, the house served as the home of General Green Clay and his son General Cassius Marcellus Clay, both prominent Kentucky statesmen. The estate also housed notable suffragists Mary Barr Clay and Laura Clay. In recognition of Cassius Marcellus Clay's influential career as a publisher, White Hall was designated a national historic site in journalism by the Society of Professional Journalists on April 12, 2011. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and operates as a Kentucky state park.
