Built in 1894, the Whitewater Hotel in Whitewater, Wisconsin is a Queen Anne style structure that served as a vital hub of commercial life in the city for nearly six decades. Strategically positioned near the Whitewater Passenger Depot and businesses serving the region's agricultural economy, the hotel provided essential lodging for railroad travelers and commerce-related visitors until its closure around 1952. After decades of disuse, the building underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2006 using federal and state historic tax credits, transforming it into mixed-use space featuring apartments and a café. The hotel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 21, 2010, and is also registered on the Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places.
