The Willard Bunnell House in Homer, Minnesota, is a Carpenter Gothic residence of frontier significance, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Built by brothers Willard (1814–1861) and Lafayette Bunnell, it holds the distinction of being Minnesota's first permanent house south of Saint Paul and represents an important chapter in the state's early settlement and commercial development. The house's Gothic Revival architecture reflects mid-nineteenth-century design sensibilities adapted to the carpenter-built traditions of the frontier. Now managed by the Winona County Historical Society, it operates as a house museum documenting the Bunnell brothers' role in opening the region during its pioneer era.
