Located in Marion, Iowa, the William and Phebe C. Dunn House is a two-story brick dwelling built in 1866 as a vernacular interpretation of the Italianate style. Constructed by local masons using locally produced brick and regionally quarried limestone, the house exemplifies the domestic architecture of Marion's era as county seat of Linn County. Its defining features include bracketed eaves and limestone lintels and sills, details that align it stylistically with nearby structures in the Marion Commercial Historic District. Well preserved and built during the pioneer period, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
