The William H. Smith House, located in Atlanta, Arkansas, is a single-story wood-frame dwelling built around 1857 as a dogtrot house, though its central breezeway has since been enclosed. Originally designed in the Greek Revival style, the structure assumes an L-shaped footprint with weatherboarded walls on the main body and flush-boarded cladding on the former dogtrot section. Its most distinguished feature is an ornate front entry, capped by a projecting gable roof and embellished with both sidelight and transom windows—particularly elaborate detailing for surviving Greek Revival homes of the period. A rear porch complements the composition. As the only antebellum house remaining in the town, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
