Wimbourne House at 22 Arlington Street in St James's, Westminster, is a Neo-Palladian townhouse designed by William Kent and built between 1743 and 1754. Kent died in 1748, before the house's completion, which occurred shortly after Prime Minister Henry Pelham's own death. The building's west front overlooks Green Park. Over the following century, the house passed through distinguished owners including Prime Minister Augustus FitzRoy, 3rd Duke of Grafton, and later underwent a significant renovation under the 7th Duke of Beaufort with architect Owen Jones in 1840. Ivor Guest, 1st Baron Wimborne, added a ballroom to the house, which was later removed in the 1970s as part of a restoration effort to recover Kent's original design. Now Grade II* listed, the building serves as special event rooms for the adjacent Ritz Hotel.
