Windsor Station in Montreal's Ville-Marie district is a Richardsonian Romanesque office building and former railway station, designed by Daniel John Crighton, Bruce Price, and William Sutherland Maxwell and completed in 1889. Built as the Canadian Pacific Railway's Montreal station and corporate headquarters—roles it maintained until 1996—the structure features imposing gray limestone walls quarried locally, with exterior columns reaching 2.1 metres wide. Bordered by Avenue des Canadiens-de-Montréal, Rue Peel, Rue Saint-Antoine, and the Bell Centre, the building has been recognized as a National Historic Site of Canada since 1975, a Heritage Railway Station since 1990, and a provincial historic monument since 2009.
