Located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, City Hall was designed by the architectural firm Northup and O'Brien and completed in 1926. The three-story building exhibits Renaissance Revival characteristics with a U-shaped footprint, constructed of brick with rusticated stone facing on its first floor. It features a flat roof crowned by a limestone cornice and balustrade with shaped balusters. The structure followed the 1913 consolidation of Salem and Winston, consolidating town offices that had previously occupied the separate Salem Town Hall. The building underwent renovation in 2000 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
