Located at 100 N. Lafayette Street in Greenville, Michigan, the Winter Inn is a Victorian-era hotel built in 1902 that remains in operation today. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1979, the building exemplifies the modest, locally owned hotels that were once typical fixtures of small American towns. Its continuing function as a working hotel lends it historical significance as a rare surviving example of its kind.
