The Imperial Hotel in Greenville, South Carolina, is a seven-story, U-shaped skyscraper built in 1911–1912 in the Chicago School style, featuring a buff-colored brick veneer over a steel frame. Originally designed as a 90-room hotel, it expanded to 250 rooms by 1930 before closing in the early 1970s. The building, now known as Greenville Summit, has since operated as a nursing home for low-income and disabled residents aged 55 and over. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, the structure has undergone planned renovations and expansion efforts in recent years, following the demolition of an adjacent parking garage in the 1980s.
