Wollaston Fire Station stands at 111 Beale Street in Quincy, Massachusetts, a two-story brick structure completed in 1901 that replaced an earlier wooden firehouse on the same site. Designed by Boston architects Jones & Hart—one of whose partners, Howland Jones, was a Wollaston native—the building exemplifies Italianate design with a commanding tower featuring a low-pitch tile roof, corbelled eave, and arched arcade. Originally fitted with arched bay entries, these openings were later modified to accommodate modern fire equipment. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, it remains a distinguished local example of Renaissance Revival architecture from the turn of the twentieth century.
