The House at 94 Grandview Avenue in Quincy, Massachusetts, is the best-preserved of a series of Queen Anne Victorian residences built on Wollaston Hill in the 1890s, likely commissioned by Boston businessman Horace Briggs. This 2½-story wood-frame structure exemplifies the style's hallmark complexity, featuring dramatic massing and a distinctive turret topped with a conical roof. A full-width front porch, supported by grouped columns and anchored on a low stone balustrade, provides a welcoming entry, while a Palladian window crowns the gable above. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, the house stands as a particularly intact example of the architectural ambitions that characterized its fashionable hilltop neighborhood.
