Wood Hall, a brick Gothic Revival residence built in 1874 at Callaghan in Alleghany County, Virginia, was constructed for William Wentworth-FitzWilliam, Viscount Milton, whom his wife Lady Laura Milton brought to the region for his health. The double-pile, two-story house stands on a stuccoed brick foundation and features a distinctive two-story gable roof entrance tower with clasping buttresses and pointed-arch openings characteristic of the Gothic Revival style. A former caretaker's cottage also remains on the property. The house, known variously as Milton Hall and Oak Hall, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and is designated as a Virginia Historic Landmark.
