Woodlands is a Greek Revival estate in Perryville, Cecil County, Maryland, constructed in two phases: an original stuccoed stone section built between 1810 and 1820, and a more refined addition of stuccoed brick featuring double parlors and a glazed conservatory completed between 1840 and 1850. Situated on a hilltop overlooking the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay, the property remains the ancestral home of the prominent Coudon family and showcases Greek Revival detailing considered without equal in the county. Beyond the main dwelling, the estate retains an exceptional collection of original outbuildings—including a two-story stone smokehouse and tenant house, barn, carriage house, and frame structures—that continue to function as part of a working farm. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, Woodlands is regarded as one of Cecil County's most important nineteenth-century buildings, its grounds enhanced by landscaped gardens, boxwoods, and mature trees.
