Located at 501 Malvern Avenue in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the Woodmen of Union Building is a four-story Neoclassical commercial structure completed in 1923–24 for the Supreme Lodge of the Woodmen of Union, an African-American social organization. Built primarily of brick and ceramic blocks with wood framing in its southeastern upper levels, the building features an elaborate projecting entrance portico with an elliptical-arch opening supported by fluted pilasters. Designed to serve multiple functions—bathhouse, hotel, hospital, bank, and performance venue—the structure retains significant original interior elements including a bank vault, marble wainscoting, and a remarkable 2,500-seat auditorium. The building was purchased by the National Baptist Association in 1950 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
