Wuhan Greenland Center is a 476-meter supertall skyscraper in Wuhan, China, designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture in collaboration with Thornton Tomasetti Engineers. Originally envisioned at 636 meters, the tower was redesigned mid-construction to comply with airspace regulations, reducing its height to under 502 meters above ground. Construction began in 2012 but faced multiple delays due to financial constraints and the COVID-19 pandemic before reaching structural completion on January 28, 2019, and final completion in 2022. At a cost of US$4.5 billion, it stands as Central China's tallest building and ranks ninth-tallest in China and fourteenth-tallest globally, developed for Greenland Group, a Shanghai government-owned real estate firm.
