Hanking Center is a 358.9-meter skyscraper completed in 2018 in Shenzhen, China, designed by the architectural firm Morphosis. The building holds the distinction of being the world's tallest structure with a detached core—a innovative design strategy that maximizes interior floor plan flexibility. Rather than housing circulation, services, and amenities within a conventional central core, Morphosis relocated these functions to an exterior core connected to the main tower via glass skybridges and steel braces, fundamentally reimagining the spatial organization of a supertall building.
