Completed in 1998, The Center stands 346 meters tall in Hong Kong's Central district, making it the fifth-tallest skyscraper in the territory. The 73-storey building is distinguished by its all-steel structure—unusual among Hong Kong's high-rises—with no reinforced concrete core, a feature that places it among the world's tallest steel buildings. Located at 99 Queen's Road Central, roughly midway between the Sheung Wan and Central MTR stations, The Center represents a notable engineering approach to supertall construction in an era when concrete cores dominated Hong Kong's skyline.
