Rising 283 meters in Chongqing's Jiefangbei CBD, the Chongqing World Trade Center is a 60-story skyscraper completed in 2005 following three years of construction that began in 2002 and topped out in 2004. The tower features 12 elevators serving its office and commercial floors, along with two underground parking levels. A retail podium houses an exit for CRT Metro Line 2 at Linjiangmen Station, integrating the building into the city's public transit network. When measured to its spire, the structure ranks among the world's tallest buildings, though it now stands as the fourth tallest in Western China, having been surpassed by several other recent towers in Chongqing itself.
