The HSBC Building in Hong Kong is a 178.7-meter high-tech skyscraper completed in 1985, designed by Norman Foster and Wendy Cheesman as the new headquarters for The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. Located on the southern side of Statue Square at 1 Queen's Road Central, it replaced a 1935 HSBC structure on the same site, itself built after the demolition of the old City Hall (1869–1933). The building's primary access shifted from Queen's Road to Des Voeux Road with its construction, marking a significant transformation of this landmark Hong Kong location.
