Built in 1922 as a station for the Erie Railroad—later operated by the Erie-Lackawanna Railway—this Neoclassical structure served Youngstown, Ohio, until 1977. The building is distinguished by its classical architectural vocabulary, typical of the grand civic aspirations of early twentieth-century railroad terminals. Though the tracks that once ran behind the station have since been removed, the structure survives as Erie Terminal Place, repurposed as student housing for Youngstown State University and recognized as a historic property on the National Register of Historic Places.
