Located at 100 South River Road in downtown Baton Rouge, the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad Company Depot is a two-story Neoclassical building completed in 1925, featuring a main block with two one-story Classical Revival wings positioned directly across from the Old State Capitol. Built as a passenger station on the Y&MV main line connecting Memphis and New Orleans—before the railroad's absorption into the Illinois Central—the structure now serves as home to the Louisiana Art and Science Museum. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
