The Ysleta Mission, founded in 1680 in El Paso, Texas, stands as the oldest continuously operated parish in the state. Built within the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo, the church exemplifies Spanish Colonial Revival and Neoclassical architectural styles. The mission anchors a community recognized as the oldest in Texas, which maintains what is claimed to be the oldest continuously cultivated plot of land in the United States. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark, the Ysleta Mission represents a cornerstone of early colonial settlement and religious life in Texas.
