Yunmen Temple, located in Rucheng Town of Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County in Guangdong, China, is a Buddhist temple that originated as the founding site of the Yunmen school, one of the five major schools of Chan Buddhism. First constructed during the Tang dynasty (618–907), the temple underwent extensive reconstruction between 1943 and 1951, during which most of its present structures were repaired or newly built. The temple exemplifies traditional Chinese Buddhist architecture and holds the status of a National Key Buddhist Temple in the Han Chinese Area, reflecting its historical and religious significance within Chinese Buddhism.
