Złota 44, a 192-meter residential skyscraper completed in 2016 in Warsaw's Śródmieście district, exemplifies deconstructivism through its dynamic, angular form. Designed by Polish-American architect Daniel Libeskind in association with the Polish firm Artchitecture, the 52-story tower's distinctive silhouette draws inspiration from an eagle's wing, symbolizing Warsaw's transformation and freedom. Developed by US real estate firm Amstar and Warsaw-based BBI Development, the building was initially left incomplete by its original developer, ORCO, before being acquired and finished by the later owners. The striking composition of the structure has also earned it the colloquial name Żagiel, Polish for "sail," reflecting its prominent place in the city's evolving skyline.
