The Zarya Vostoka building is a constructivist office structure on Tbilisi's Rustaveli Avenue, built in 1931 by Armenian architect David Chisliev as the headquarters for the Russian-language newspaper of the same name. It occupies a site that previously held a wooden circus building owned by the Nikitin brothers until 1913. The structure later served as home to the publishing house Merani and was designated a protected monument of national importance until 2007. Recent renovations have prompted concern among preservationists regarding their impact on the building's historical integrity.
