Built in 1935 in Voronezh, the building of the regional committee and regional executive committee (Здание обкома и облисполкома) was designed by architect Alexander Ivanovich Popov-Shaman in a style that blended Constructivism with Classicism, reflecting the architectural trends of Stalinist-era Soviet design. The structure stood for less than a decade before its demolition in 1943, during the tumultuous Second World War period.
