Zerbst Castle in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany was a Baroque residence built in the late 17th century for the Princes of Anhalt-Zerbst, serving as their seat until the principality's line ended in 1793. Following the extinction of the ducal house, the castle transitioned into use as a museum and archive. The structure sustained severe bomb damage during the final weeks of World War II and was largely demolished in the postwar period. Today, a local association works to preserve and reconstruct the surviving eastern wing, which remains a designated cultural monument (Kulturdenkmal).
