One Police Plaza, completed in 1973 and designed by the architectural firm Gruzen and Partners, is the headquarters of the New York City Police Department. Located on Park Row in Manhattan's Civic Center, near City Hall and the Brooklyn Bridge, the brutalist structure occupies a block bordered by Park Row, Pearl Street, and Police Plaza. It replaced the NYPD's former headquarters at 240 Centre Street, situated approximately one mile to the north.
