Penn 1, originally known as One Penn Plaza, is a 229-meter skyscraper completed in 1972 in Midtown Manhattan, designed by architect Ely Jacques Kahn. Located between 33rd and 34th Streets west of Seventh Avenue, the building stands adjacent to Pennsylvania Station and Madison Square Garden as the tallest structure within the Pennsylvania Plaza complex of offices, hotels, and entertainment facilities. The building's prominence is underscored by its assignment of its own ZIP Code, 10119, making it one of only 41 Manhattan buildings to receive this distinction as of 2019.
