Located on Clubhouse Row in Manhattan's Midtown, 30 West 44th Street is a Beaux-Arts clubhouse designed by Tracy and Swartwout and completed in 1901. Originally built as the Yale Club of New York City's headquarters, the structure features an ornately decorated facade of brick, Indiana limestone, and terracotta, with rusticated limestone blocks on its first two stories and a mansard roof crowned by a three-story penthouse. After the Yale Club relocated in 1915, the building served successive occupants including Delta Kappa Epsilon, the Army & Navy Club of America, and the United States Maritime Service during World War II. Expanded from 11 to 14 stories in the early 1990s, it is now home to the Penn Club of New York and remains a designated New York City landmark.
