Standing at 1,396 feet on the corner of 57th Street and Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, 432 Park Avenue is a residential skyscraper designed by Rafael Viñoly and completed in 2015. Developed by CIM Group and Harry B. Macklowe on the former site of the Drake Hotel, the tower exemplifies modern minimalist architecture through its striking lattice exterior of white Portland cement concrete. Its distinctive profile consists of 84 stories segmented into 12-story blocks separated by open double-story mechanical spaces that channel wind through the structure, a design that emphasizes both function and visual drama. The building contains 125 luxury condominiums with prices ranging from $10.5 to $90 million, amenities including a private restaurant, and ranks among the world's tallest residential buildings. At completion, it was the third-tallest structure in the United States; as of 2025, it stands as the sixth-tallest in the nation and third-tallest residential tower globally. The building has attracted both critical acclaim and controversy for its slender form and symbolic association with ultra-wealthy residents, and has faced lawsuits from residents reporting mechanical and structural issues.
